With over 25 years of experience in national security, intelligence, and counterterrorism, I am the Director at Gordian Knot Center for National Security Innovation, where I lead a team in developing and implementing innovative solutions for complex national security challenges. I am co-creator of Hacking for Defense at Stanford University, a program that connects students, faculty, and mentors with real-world problems from the defense and intelligence communities. I have a Ph.D. in political science from Stanford, master’s degree in public administration from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and a bachelor’s degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point. I am passionate about bridging the gap between academia, industry, and government, and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and diversity in the national security field.
